LIBRARY PASS PROGRAM

Dear Library Director,

 

Southold Historical Museum is pleased to continue the Museum Pass Program for local libraries. We look forward to partnering with you—one of the most valuable resources of our community. With your help, we are able to further our mission to support initiatives that promote the sustainability of our historic past.

 

We have two terrific museums that are open on weekends in the summer season:

• The Maple Lane Complex is home to over a dozen large and small buildings that date from as far back as circa 1750. The story of Southold’s rich history is described through both permanent and seasonal exhibits. Each summer, we offer a new seasonal exhibit at the Ann Currie-Bell house, the home of the Museum’s founder.

• The Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse is a treasure. Built in 1857, it is a working lighthouse with access to the tower as well as the museum area which exhibits a huge collection of maritime artifacts. Each season, we are able to offer a seasonal exhibit in the lighthouse’s baymen’s room.

 

Each Museum Pass includes a “Passport” which provides entrance to both museum locations (Admission is $5 per adult or $10 per family (2 adults of the same household and their minor children)) and a 10% discount in our Shop. Hours are as follows:

• Maple Lane Campus: Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm from May 23 to September 20.

• Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse: Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am -4pm from May 23 to September 20, 2026 ($5 fee to park in the Southold Park District’s parking lot).
