About the event

It’s time for Southold Historical Museum’s exciting online Silent Auction. You’ll find a variety of valuable items to bid on in a range of values, from local artwork to jewelry, to gift certificates at area restaurants.  You can preview the auction here!

The online auction will begin on Saturday, May 1 and runs through May 8, 2022. Opening bids will begin low to encourage lively bidding.  All proceeds from the auction will benefit the history museum.

Redecorating your home?  Looking for a distinctive gift for someone special?  Are you long overdue for some self-indulgence?  Check out some of the treasures the auction committee has been busy gathering.

Noteworthy art lots include a painting by noted local artist Ty Stroudsburg, prints by Bernie Springsteel and Melissa Hyatt, and landscape paintings by Paul Edelson.  For those who are looking for a fine gift, there is a selection of jewelry including a beautiful, vintage Omega diamond bracelet watch. Local restaurant gift certificates are perfect for those who love to dine out! There are some unique collectibles offered as well.  In sum, the silent auction has a little something for everyone.

Southold Historical Museum’s executive director, Deanna Witte-Walker states, “We hope the community will view this as an opportunity to do some shopping while also supporting the local history museum.  Besides, who doesn’t love an auction?  It is so gratifying being the winning bidder!”  She continues, “We are grateful to the many generous people who donated the auction lots.  We hope that generosity will continue by way of a flurry of bidding!”

Kindly visit www.southoldhistorical.org to preview the Silent Auction which will begin on April 22.  The bidding will go live beginning at 9am on May 1 and close at 7pm on May 8, 2022.
