About the event

Join us for this exciting new fundraising event - Southold Historical Museum's First Pickleball Tournament.  Pickleball has been described as an infectious game that promotes laughter, fun and healthy activity.  On June 4 you can get moving, taking in some fresh air, and make some friends all while supporting your local museum.

Intermediate and advanced players are encouraged to register for this tournament on June 4 (rain date June 5) which takes place at the Southold Town pickleball courts at Tasker Park.  The format will be change partner, round-robin.  

Preregistration fee is $50 which includes a tournament t-shirt and refreshments.  Registration on the day of event is $55  (also includes t-shirt and refreshments).  Due to limited players, preregistration is encouraged to avoid being shut out. The event begins at 9am sharp and runs through 1pm.

This will be a “change partner” round-robin tournament.

  • 48 people
  • three pools of 16
  • intermediate and advanced players
  • No players, except those playing should be inside the fence. We are using every court

You will be assigned a number – KNOW YOUR NUMBER.

The first 6 games will be assigned to courts and every game afterward will be announced and assigned to the next ‘free’ court. The courts have numbers on them!! Please pay attention!! There are 3 pools of 16 people that you were scheduled to play with and against. You will not cross pools. We are hoping to get 15 rounds in.

The FIRST team announced will serve first, the second team will choose side. FIRST TEAM to 9 wins. Please come back to the score keeper and report your scores…they will be tallied for prizes at the end of the tournament.

Warm up is between 8-8:50…no games should be played at this time-please allow everyone to get ready! Player meeting at the assignment board at 8:50. We start promptly at 9:00.

We have water and snacks…feel free to make donations. Also feel free to brings friends…especially those who want to contribute to this worthy cause!

We are happy to run this tournament for you, and thank you for your participation!! Stay alert, be ready to play, remember your number…and most of all…have fun!!
