About the event
Step into the stories of the Revolutionary War through a special collaboration among North Fork history organizations and museums. Together, these sites are bringing to life the experiences of the people who lived on the North Fork during the nation’s fight for independence.
As you visit each participating museum, you’ll discover unique exhibits, artifacts, and local stories that reveal how the Revolutionary War shaped life on the North Fork 250 years ago. Follow the trail from site to site for a deeper look at the people, places, and events that helped define the beginnings of our nation.
Southold Historical Museum is proud to participate with two special exhibits on view through Sept. 13:
• The American Revolution in Southold at the Maple Lane Campus, open weekends from 1–4 p.m.
• Maritime Stealth in Southold During the American Revolution at the Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse, open weekends from 11:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
