About the event

Southold Historical Museum is hosting a special summer exhibit on contemporary quilts.  The Fine Art quilt show is titled "New Legacies-Quilts by Local Artists”.  This show features traditional piecework, applique, embroidery, and hand quilting to modern patterns and techniques.

World renown author and teacher, quilter Paula Nadelstern is exhibiting two quilts from her kaleidoscopic series.  One, inspirited by the arches of a Mosque in Oman, and the other inspired by the ceiling of a Spanish Synagogue.

The locally made quilts are on exhibit July and August, Saturdays only 1PM to 4PM at the Maple Lane Campus, 55200 Main Road, Southold, NY. Please check in at the Ann Currie-Bell House.  There is a fee of $5 /person or $10 /family, which also includes entrance of the Horton’s Pony Lighthouse Nautical Museum.
