About the event
As part of our Quilts of Bygone Eras exhibit at the Effers Collection Center at the Maple Lane Complex, we are pleased to welcome Joyce Fischer, an AQS certified quilt appraiser of quilts and quilted textiles, on August 17, 2024 to offer quilt appraisals for insurance purposes. Appraisal fees are $55 for each quilt, no credit cards, cash is preferred. Please call Joyce Fischer to make your appointment at: 1-516-376-8063 and leave a message with your phone number. There will be a lecture that day at 1:00 pm, on quilts and why we need to have our quilts appraised, along with what judges look for when judging quilts. There will be a sampling of quilts including Amish quilts.
