Acerca del evento

Diane Schwindt is the resident historic cook at the Ketcham Inn c. 1693 located in Center Moriches, NY. She focuses on all components of colonial life on Long Island. Through experiential learning, she gives classes, lectures, and hearth cooking workshops to all ages, for both public and private groups. Her use of authentic materials, cooking equipment and research has been recognized by the New-York Historical Society, museums and educational institutions. Schwindt will take the audience on a journey to learn about the evolution of food. During the presentation, she will explain the advancements and improvements that have been made over time and demonstrate the use of some of the tools that have been used throughout the food preparation process.
